Cover-up
Beach Cover-Ups
A beach cover-up bridges swimwear and clothes. Worn over a swimsuit at the pool, through hotel lobbies, at beachside lunches — the piece has to work in multiple settings and look right in each. Bad cover-ups read as swimwear-only; good ones pass for beach dresses or resort tunics.
The construction case: cover-ups need to breathe (you're wearing them in hot weather over swimwear), dry quickly (they get wet), and travel well (they usually live in a suitcase). Bamboo covers all three. Silk is lighter but requires more care. Lace works as trim or as sheer overlay.
Our cover-up collection covers kaftan styles (loose, wide-cut, often to mid-calf or floor length — the most versatile), tunic styles (fitted through the shoulders, looser through the body, hitting at upper thigh or knee), and shorter beach dresses (fitted enough to wear as a dress at dinner, loose enough to throw over a swimsuit).
The fabric choices matter for travel. Bamboo packs down small, dries quickly, doesn't wrinkle badly. Silk is the most refined — the piece you unpack for dinner. Lace details work as trim rather than as the whole piece — subtle, not obvious.
Colors stay in the neutral-and-natural range: white, ivory, natural linen tones, occasional soft pastels or restrained prints. Nothing loud.
